Freelancers Vs Bar Girls

As mentioned before, there is some key differences to know when it comes to getting your service from freelancers, as compared to the bar girls.

The main difference is that that freelancers work independently, and are not affiliated with any bar. So you may not be able to track her down in Bangkok. If anything goes wrong in the transaction, or if she steals anything from your room then you are most likely going to have to deal with it on your own or just accept what happened. Although it happens very rarely, it is still important enough for me to mention it.

The second factor is that bar girls get routinely tested for STD’s, whereas freelancers do not. There is a certain risk factor when it comes to getting services from a freelancers, but most guys are willing to compromise on that due to the cheaper prices and convenience.

Rooms are exceptionally clean, have nice city views, and very well designed. The rooftop pool is also one of the best in all of the Sukhumvit area. Highly recommended.

Extra Information & Tips

The hotels mentioned above are guest friendly, Just make sure that you are the single registered guest at check-in, and that your room is booked under double occupancy (2 people in room). This way you can bring an extra visitor anytime you want, as many times as you want, free of charge.

Another good idea is to book a hotel that has outdoor pool. Especially in Bangkok, since there is no beach near by, and it can get very hot. It can be an advantage to have those types of facilities for some people. Personally, I like it, it can be relaxing to take a swim and cool off, or take in the views of the city.

If you plan to spend most of your time in one location, like Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza, then you might prefer to stay in a hotel close to those areas. But don’t forget, the BTS Skytrain is very convenient and easy to use, in case you do want to travel around Sukhumvit. Many of the guest friendly hotels in Bangkok are near the transit system.

Most of the foreign oriented girlie bars will be around Sukhumvit, especially around the Nana Plaza red light area.

Here are the places to keep in mind:

Hillary 1 & 2

Located in Soi 4, just outside the Nana Plaza entrance.

Both venues are worth checking out, simply for the fact that it is just outside the hustle and bustle of Nana plaza, but just close enough to do some people watching (including seeing all the women and freelancers walk by).

But besides that, they have live bands, and pool tables, with bar girls and freelancers working in them.

Hillary 2 is a bit more “flashy” with modern designs and lighting. So it typically attracts more tourists, which in turn brings in the bar girls and freelancers. Expect prices for drinks and food to be bit more expensive than Hillary 1.

Generally speaking, Hillary 1 has fewer girls — more of a relaxed vibe, with cheaper prices. That is why usually guys staying in Bangkok long-term or expats are known to frequent the place more often than your typical tourist.

This area also gets quite busy in the evenings as the go go bars open and most tourists will be walking in and out of the complex.

The atmosphere of the open-air bar beer garden is quite relaxing and is an excellent place to chill out while doing some people watching or having a drink before checking out the go go bars.

Sit back and relax. Watch some sports or events on the T.V’s. There are a few girls that are available for take-out. Do some chatting with her to see if you like her first.

What is the Therame Cafe?

This historic bar opened first in the 60’s. It became a popular hangout spot for the soldiers during the Vietnam war era.

Another thing to note is that you won’t find that many freelancers here, but it is not uncommon to find a handful lurking around in hopes of meeting foreigners. What you will find are some very attractive local Thai women.

Onyx

Another one of the amazing clubs on RCA.

Could be the best EDM club in all of Bangkok, it also has some amazing events with world-famous DJ’s.

Once you step inside this 2000 capacity venue you will quickly realize how great the sound system is. There are many tables, which local Thais like to get while ordering there bottle service.

The Club Khaosan

A no frills, and “classic” style nighctlub located in the Khaosan district.

1. Disagreements with the bill
2. Rude behavior from drunk customers
3. Rude behavior from the waitress or bouncers
4. Problems with the dancers (she leaves after you bought her drink, or the customer is too aggressive with the bar girl)
5. Arguments with other foreigners (rare)

As you can see these are the things to look out for when you decide to party in such places.

Generally speaking, Bangkok has safe red light districts. The best thing to do is use your judgement. If you feel one of the places is not right for you then simply leave and check out another area.

It is one of the best areas to spend your evening in. And it gets busy, especially on the weekend. It is located just off the MRT Thailand Cultural Center.

The name train market became to be due to the history behind the location.

It used to be a train station, which was transformed into what it is today: a night market which has many food vendors showcasing there amazing food creations.

It is a huge night market, full of food vendors, shops, and bars. The food here is amazing, and has so much variety. It is also very reasonably prices.

The bars serve amazing cocktails, beers, and more.

The local Thais love to enjoy the Bangkok nightlife. They come here after work, or on the weekend with their friends. They order drinks, listen to music, and enjoy the fun nightlife scenes.
