These places are run to accommodate single male foreigners who are looking to have nice cold drinks, relax, play some pool, and to have a chance to meet and greet with the cute Thai bar girls.

How To Use the Girlie Bars

No matter what you want to call them, these bars are like normal bars, except you have the option to bar fine the girl if you happen to like her, and she is willing to go back with you to your guest friendly hotel (or anywhere you want).

You will usually notice that as you start walking by these places the girls will try and entice you to come in for a drink or two. And my recommendation is that you should, especially if you like what you see.

Once you are inside you can order a drink, sit down, and just take in the sights and sounds.

One of my personal favorite things is just to do some people watching, and chat up with a cute bar girl who happens to be interested in me. Usually if I like her I will buy her a Lady Drink. It is like a nice gesture from me, and she will appreciate it, and gets commission from it.

Patong Beer Bar Complex

This area is a bit more popular with expats and those who are more familliar with the Patong Beach area.

So the great thing about that is the vibe is nothing like the madness of Bangla Road. It is more relaxing, and you can actually gather your thoughts better here.

But don’t worry, there are still plenty of sexy Thai bar girls to keep you company. The only downside is that you won’t find as many younger hotter girls here.

As of now there are just two places that are worth going to in Phuket, and I will list them below.

Just know that there aren’t many soapy massage parlors in Patong like there are in places like Pattaya or Bangkok.

But the good news is that the two places are good enough to keep you satisfied should you want your “soapy massage fix” while you are on holiday in Phuket.

Christin Massage has the best soapy experience for foreigners. Not only are the girls the most attractive, but there is a nice selection of them. A good portion of the girls will be hot and worth trying out.

The process is like other soapies in Thailand.

You just walk in, take a seat or order a drink if you want. You can see the selection of girls in the “fish bowl” and simply tell the mamasan/papasan which girl you would like to get a massage from.

Devils Playground A Go Go

As the name suggests, the Devils Playground A Go Go is exactly that — a place that is designed like hell, with a dark and cave-like atmosphere. It feels somewhat like Halloween in here. The girls usually wear devil or angel costumes and are ready to come freak on you!

As you enter the establishment you will notice a few girls dancing on the center stage, and also many other girls scattered around either sitting with customers or on their own.

The ambience, and the fact that it has some of the most attracive dancers in all of Phuket makes this go go bar one of the best places to visit whenever you are in town.

It will be easy to spot this since there is a giant Tiger decor popping out of the building. On the lower level is a bunch of small go go bars, which is also fun.

But the main event is the nightclub on the upper levels. That is where you will find the DJ cranking out some impressive clubbing music, and the hoards of party-goers enjoying the experience.

Another reason this club is so popular among foreigners is that it attracts lots of local Thai women who come party here.

Red Hot Club

Red Hot Club is one of the most popular clubs in the Patong area. It’s hard to not to notice this place since the big red sign stands out, almost begging you to come in and take a look.

And it doesn’t disappoint. The club attracts lots of tourists, and plenty of locals who are craving a great venue to listen to a live band. The only thing that could be improved is that fact that there is no real dance floor area.

It is more like a traditional Thai nightclub with mostly small tables and stools. But other than that it is a great place to check out, even if just grab a couple drinks and start off your club hopping on Soi Bangla.

Tai Pan

As with many establishments in this area, it will be hard to not see the huge billboard style neon lights. It can be enticing, and always an option to party the night away. The club has everything you need for a great time, beautiful coyote dancers, a dance floor, and a nice intimate atmosphere — it gets busy on most nights.

Banana Disco

Another busy nightclubs around Patong. The place plays live music up until midnight, then transforms into a great nightclubs. And one of the features of this venue is the big dance floor that attracts tons of wild party-goers (with a decent amount of freelancers).

Surely one of the best clubs in this area, and also one of the oldest running venues. Check it out.

Illuzion

One of the better clubs in Patong, and the location is perfect: in the heart of Soi Bangla Road. The light show and sound system here is top notch. It also gets quite busy on most nights, as it is a favorite among the tourists and younger crowds.

I also like the fact that they bring in some great international DJ; to play on the decks. The atmosphere is perfect, with plenty of dancers, stools and chairs, and a dance floor area. It has everything you need for a great nightclub experience in Patong.

Seduction

A great modern nightclub on the second floor of the Seduction Complex on Soi Bangla.

If you like the “big room” style nightclub then this place is for you. The place is very big and actually has five other party rooms.

The events are also good, with consistently having good DJ’s on the decks rocking some nice top 40, EDM, and Hip Hop tracks to keep you having an amazing time. The place also brings in a well balanced crowd, with all types of party-goers.

White Room

One of the better known nightclubs in the Bangla road area. It attracts a certain type type of crowd and mostly plays amazing house music.

The party-goers are encouraged to wear white clothing to add to the chich and modern white designs of the venue.

This place has a great ambience and decor. Perfect for a couple drinks or to take a Thai girl on a date.

Hollywood

Was very popular back in the day, and is back now after being called “VIP Rooms Patong Beach”.

Although not one of my personal favorites, it is still worth checking out.

It can be a “hit or miss” type of place. Some nights I have had an amazing time, and other nights it was just average.

The DJ’s typically play amazing EDM and house tracks. The venue also has a decent light show, and the over-all vibe is pretty good.
