As a single traveler headed to Jakarta, then you will probably be wanting to stay in guest friendly hotels. So in this guide I wanted to list some affordable hotels that have this “no joiner fee” policy.
I will first give you a briefing about the Jakarta hotel scene, so you get an idea of what to expect when bringing back any non registered guest back to your room.

Intro to Girl Friendly Hotels in Jakarta
Most of you guys that are familiar with travel in Southeast Asia will already know that Jakarta can be an amazing place for single male travelers. Simply put, it has some of the best nightlife and “gentlemen” clubs that are designed and created to make you feel like you are living the dream in paradise.
And like many other destinations I mention here, you will surely end up meeting women in Jakarta that you will want to bring back to your hotel.
The Jakarta hotel scene is a bit different than other places designed for gentlemen travel. In this city, some of the hotels are called “Syariah” hotels, and they will not permit you to bring back any female guest that is not your wife, i.e. without proof of a marriage certificate. Keep in mind that Indonesia is a Muslim dominant country, as I mentioned in my brief intro to Jakarta article.
Although most of the luxury hotels in Jakarta do have a girl friendly policy, some of the low to medium budget places do not.
Simply look at this list for reference to some popular and affordable hotels that do not charge any joiner fees or require proof of marriage before you can bring any overnight visitors back to your room.
Ibis Jakarta Harmoni ***
Located in the northern side of the city, the Ibis Jakarta Harmoni is a solid three start hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff is attentive, and the high ratings are and excellent indicator of what you can expect here. One of the newer guest friendly properties that is near the popular Grand Indonesia Shopping Center.

A solid four star hotel, the Ibis Styles Jakarta Gajah Mada Hotel is one of the better four star hotels in the norther Jakarta region. Previously named the All Season Gajah Mada. Rooms are very clean, come with free WiFi, and get serviced daily. It is also just a few minutes to the Gaja Mada Mall.

In terms of nightlife, it is also nearby the Mega Kunigan and SCBD area, which has plenty of bars and nightclub.

Yes, it is the same Red Planet hotel chain that is popular in the Philippines. This one is a two star property, but still clean and comfortable as this hotel chain is so famous for. The only issue is that the rooms are on the smaller side, but this is to be expected from this Brand. In any case, it may be a great choice for you single male travelers in Jakarta, since it is fully guest friendly.

One of the best budget guest friendly hotels on this list. The Amaris Tharmin is a two star hotel located on the upper level of another large building complex, which consists of a shopping center. Rooms are clean, comfortable, have free WiFi, but are a bit on the basic side. Of course you shouldn’t expect to much from a two star property in Jakarta, so just understand it is listed here for the good value it represents.

Rooms are comfortable, very clean, and the staff is very attentive to all guests. A great feature of this place is the close location to the MRT station (about 2-3 minutes walk). For your convenience there are also plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby.
