One of the main reasons for this is that Angeles has been primarily designed to cater to the single male tourists who come to holiday and visit the girly bars. So almost all the hotels in town know exactly what type of tourist make up the majority of the travelers who book the hotels.

One main drawbacks to the guest friendly hotels in Angeles City is that there really aren’t a huge selection of hotels to choose from like there are in other places such as Thailand. And you typically end up paying a bit more in Angeles for the same type of accommodation that you would elsewhere.

In Angeles city, a large percentage of the hotels will not have rooms with balconies, or extra facilities like outdoor pools, fitness centers for you to enjoy. But the good thing is that almost all the hotels are guest friendly. And that includes allowing Transgender to stay with you.

At most places, the reception staff will gladly allow you to bring back non-registered guest, as long as they present them with an I.D. card. Once your guest leaves they will return the I.D. back to them.

The Clarkton Hotel is one of the best guest friendly hotels in Angeles City for the medium budget range. It is a four star property, located further away from all the busy nightlife on Fields, but is still fully guest friendly. You can get a nice peaceful rest here.

The rooms are comfortable, have free WiFi, and get serviced daily. Furthermore, there is a wonderful outdoor pool, which gets plenty of sunlight. The onsite restaurant is also serving great food and drinks. Highly recommended if you prefer to be farther away from Fields.

The ABC hotel is hands down my favorite guest friendly place to stay in Angeles City. It is a bit pricey (for Philippines standards), but you would easily spend 3 or 4 times the same for a similar hotel elsewhere in the world. So it actually is amazing value for what you get. It is a five star hotel, the rooms are superb, with beautiful designs and spotlessly clean.

The rooftop terrace has arguably one of the best outdoor swimming pools in all of Angeles. It is host to some impressive pool parties, with a live DJ, multiple bars serving great cocktails. You really can’t ask for more in a hotel. Highly recommended place to stay, even if its just for a couple nights to treat yourself.

Lewis Grand Hotel ****

The Lewis Grand Hotel is a highly recommended hotel.

The main reason why I like it is because it is located in a quieter area of Angeles City, yet still about a 5 to 10 minute walk to most of the bars and nightlife fun.

All the rooms are spacious, and many have terrace and pool views. Management does a good job of running this place. A good, solid quality here, with an outdoor pool.

Grand Central Hotel ***

The Grand Central is one the better guest friendly hotels that are located right on Fields Avenue. Which means your are just steps away from all the go go bars, restaurants and nightlife pleasures.

Right across this hotel is the Baiking Bar, previously known as Vikings Bar. There is also a nice bar and restaurant downstairs. The hotel and rooms are very clean, and the friendly staff does a fair job of treating all guests with that famous Filipino charm.

Another great choice, especially if you enjoy a nice quiet place. The Penthouse is still just a few minutes walk to Fields and surrounding venues, but located on the quieter Santos Street.

The decorations are very modern, and there is a beautiful outdoor rooftop pool and bar to enjoy. The luxurious rooms are the perfect addition to this attractive property. Expect great service, comfortable rooms, and location.

Big rooms, friendly staff, and an outdoor pool that receives decent amount of sunshine. Those are the things to expect at the Hotel America. The location is a bit further away from Walking Street, but near lots of the smaller girly bars on Perimeter.

Although its located directly on the road, you still get a better sleep than being near the busy Fields Avenue area.

The location here is very quiet, and farther from most of the nightlife near Walking Street. But don’t let that stop you from staying here.

The Prime Asia Hotel is modern, very clean, and had friendly staff. The outdoor rooftop pool is also very good, with a nice mountain view of the region. Well worth the price, just you need to walk a bit extra to get around, or get a trike.

The outdoor swimming pool is wonderful here. It is quite large and very relaxing to hand out during the day. But that is not all, the location is great, and there is 24 hour room service.

Boomerang Hotel ***

What a great hotel, especially for the price. The only thing to consider is that it is located farther away from the main nightlife excitement on Walking Street. It is around a 15 minute walk, or a few minutes trike ride.

The hotel has comfortable rooms, respectful staff, and some awesome food at the on-site restaurant. You can also take a quick dip at the courtyard style swimming pool.

One of my favorite hotels in Angeles City. Simply because of the outdoor rooftop pool, and the quiet location. The rooms are also pretty good, but the basic rooms are a bit small. One of the best hotels on Walking Street. The Hotel Royal Amsterdam is also very highly rated. Although the location is in a busy area, the inside of the hotel feels quite cozy and quiet.

The rooms are very clean, have classy furnishings, and most are spacious. Stay here is you want quick access to all the fun bars and nightclubs nearby.

Walk-About Hotel ***

A popular choice on located right on Walking Street. You are literally steps away from the bars, and also very close to High Society nightclub, a great place to meet freelancers in Angeles. The place is very comfortable, simple designs, rooms, and is very clean.

A great guest friendly hotel right in the middle of the action. Another great thing about the Walk-About-Hotel is the patio bar. You can relax have some food and drinks as you do some people watching. Finally, it even has a neat outdoor swimming pool to cool off in the hot afternoons in Angeles City.

This hotel is located right at the entrance of Walking Street. So you are right in the heart of of all the best things to see in Angeles. It is walking distance to most things, including the smaller bars in the Perimeter area. The rooms are very cozy. The rooftop terrace has excellent views of the city, and it also has small plunge style swimming pool if you feel like a quick dip. Another one of my favorite hotels in Angeles.

950 Condotel **

A great value hotel here. The 950 Condotel is located a bit farther away from the Walking Street, but don’t worry, you are still close enough to walk there in 10 minutes.

On the upside, you are just a 5 minute walk to the Perimiter bars. The rooms here are very clean, and comfortable, but they don’t have any views.

The staff and service is friendly. There is also a supermarket located on the ground level for most of your shopping needs. A simple hotel that offers excellent value, and easily allows you to bring back guests over.

Highly recommended hotel. The Devera Hotel is one of my favorite places to stay in Angeles. The price is just right, the rooms are very clean, and the staff is one of the friendliest I have seen in all of Angeles. One of the higher quality hotels in Angeles City. Rooms are very nice, and most are fairly spacious. Staff and service is very friendly, and always put a good effort into making all the guests feel like they are home.

The onsite restaurant and outdoor pool just adds even more intrigue to stay here. The location is in a quiet area, so expect a nice and relax stay. Just keep in mind you are about a 5-10 minute walk to main nightlife area of Walking Street. Can’t go wrong with this hotel.

The Go Go bars on walking street have become much more expensive then years gone by, and the even the Lady Drink prices seem to be inflating rapidly, and not justifying the amount most guys are willing to spend in a city like Angeles.

Compared to Manila (and even Pattaya in Thailand), Angeles City used to the “cheaper” option for most guys wanting to enjoy an inexpensive holidays.

Now don’t get me wrong, Angeles City is still cheaper than Manila, but not by much these days. But when you get freelancers, the place can be much better in terms of value.

Another great thing is that some of the hotter girls prefer to work on their own, so you can really find some good ones for decent prices, especially if you have a bit of experiences and understand how the game works.

Prices

Expect the following prices for freelancers in Angeles City

• Short time: 1,500 – 2500 Peso
• Long Time: 2,500 – 4000 Peso

Now keep in mind, the costs depends on some other factors:

• how attractive she is. If she knows her worth and is in demand, she will charge you the higher end of the prices.
• Your own negotiating skills,
• How much she feels comfortable with going back with you (your age, nationality, and appearance can play a factor with some girls)
• Supply and Demand concept. Are there more customers around or freelancers?

Keep all points I mentioned in mind, and also try not to over pay. The prices I mentioned are the going rate for almost all the girls, expect maybe the super hot ones, which are rare and will have their own pricing and expectations of customers.

If you want the best experience, then you will need to put up a couple decent pictures of yourself, and simply fill out your profile details. Basically, the better your profile, the most responses and interest you will get.

Keep in mind that there are also non-freelancers online, which are normal girls just looking to date foreigners. It is up to you realize which ones are which. Generally speaking, the P4P girls (freelancers) will not write much in their profile about serious dating or relationships, and they will have much sexier pictures. With more experience you will easily be able to distinguish between the freelancers and normal girls.

Your other option to find freelancers is in the nightclubs and sports bars. The great thing about these places is that you can see them in person before even thinking about talking with them. So not only can you be sure the girl you are paying is the one you want (unlike online), but you can also get to know her a bit more with casual conversation and negotiations.

HISO nightclub

HISO nightclub is one of the best clubs to find freelancers. The place gets busy on most nights, especially on the weekends. The best time to go would be after 12am, and around 1-2am is when it gets the busiest. But keep in mind that some of the more attractive girls get taken early, if the customer is willing to pay her what she wants.

Sometimes HISO can be a “hit and miss” type of place. Some nights you will find many freelancers you will want to meet, and other nights you may not like what you see. But there will always be many girls in that place for you check out.

Hammer

Your other option is Hammer nightclub. Generally, this place has a bit more attractive freelancers, almost on par with what you would find in the Manila nightclubs. But keep in mind that they may charge higher, since Hammer is known to be a “fancier” clubs than HISO. So some of the girls think that they can charge a bit more in Hammer. That is a bit misleading, since those same girls may charge a bit less in HISO.

It also doesn’t help that Hammer is more popular with the Asian (Korean, Japanese, Chinese) crowd in Angeles, and those guys are known to spend a bit more on the girls, drinks, bottles. I’m speaking generally here, but I really wanted to give you guys a good idea of the place.

But of course, all nationalities are welcome in Hammer, and many western males love the place for finding freelancers when they come to Angeles City.

Sport Bars

Another place to keep in mind is the “normal” sorts bars, which can also have freelancers lurking around, having some drinks and waiting for customers. A good place for this would be Bretto’s Sports Bars, which is near the end of Walking Street towards the Mcdonalds.

This place is not only great for finding potential freelancers, but the atmosphere is really good, with pool tables, sports on TV, and decent food. It is a great place even if just for relaxing and people watching.

Street Freelancers

Of course, you will also find many girls walking around the nightlife Areas in Angeles City, which are open to meeting foreign guys and going back with them for a price.

The best places for this would on Walking Street, Fields Avenue, and also around the nightclubs I mentioned above. There are girls who come outside the clubs just to hang out or get some air. See what you can find.

The Malls

And last but not least, the shopping malls are another place where you could find potential freelancers in Angeles. SM Mall would be the best choice in this regard.

In the daytime you may find girls walking around, doing some shopping, and hanging out with a friend or two. Just keep in mind to use your discretion, since most of them are just normal girls, or semi-pros. The semi pros are not full freelancers, but they may still be willing to meet you for some compensation.

This comparison of Angeles and Pattaya is a great one, since they are very popular among male travelers, and also quite similar in what they can offer to them.

Nightlife Vibe

Pattaya’s nightlife is more balanced than Angeles.

Not only is the city bigger than its counterpart, but it also has more things to do. There are many streets and alleys to explore in Pattaya, with various bars, nightclubs, massage shops everywhere. Most of which specifically caters to the male travelers. But keep in mind, the scene in Pattaya caters to all types of tourists. So you will be seeing many couples, families, along with other single male foreigners.

Angeles City’s nightlife is more catered specifically to the male tourists. You will barely see any families or foreign couples in the party districts. And the size of the area is not that big.

Besides Walking Street and the surround area of Fields Avenue and “Perimeter”, you will not find more nightlife activities that are catered to foreigners.

But the great thing about Angeles city is that everything is more condensed into one area, which can add to the excitement and entertainment. This can also be a good thing if you prefer most things to be close walking distance.

Girls

Of course this depends on your preference. If you like the appearance of Thai girls then you may prefer that city better. Just keep in mind that the average age of girls that work in the Pattaya bars are higher than in Angeles city.

Generally, it appears that there are more younger girls around in Angeles City than Pattaya.

Angeles city has many girls that are in the 20-25 age range, especially in terms of freelancers. Furthermore, they are able to speak English. So for most guys this alone is a deal breaker, and is exactly why they specifically visit Angeles city over Pattaya.

The prices for (almost) everything will be cheaper in Angeles.

Even the best go go bars on (Fields) Walking Street will be about 30% cheaper when you factor in the conversion rates. Things such as drinks, lady drinks, food will be more affordable in that city.

Even though prices have gone up the past few year, it is still the more affordable option — which is why many guys would rather spend their holiday there.

Pattaya has great value in the following things:

• street food
• great hotels for very reasonable prices
• online freelancers (I use this site for great results)

That being said, your money will still go farther in Angeles City.

Go Go Bars

Pattaya is famous for its go go bars, there are many of them.

Most will be around Walking Street, but there are even more bars scattered around the city — such as the Soi LK Metro area.

Angeles does not seem to have as many go go bars as Pattaya, but it does have many of them concentrated in a relatively smaller area. So it will seem like it has a lot.

When you include the fact that many of the smaller girly bars further along Fields are also smaller go go bars, it may even appear to be on par with Pattaya’s. But it just appears that way because the city is much smaller.

Beer Bars

As mentioned above, Angeles City does not really have the “traditional” beer bars that Pattaya is so famous for. The bars in AC are really go go bars, with girls dancing on a stage (even if it’s a small one). The girly bars further on (Perimeter) Fields Avenue seem like a smaller version of go go bars. In my opinion they are great and very fun, just don’t expect them to be the open-air style bars.

If you are looking for the open air bars, then you will find those bars in Pattaya. Also, many of the beer bars in that city have pool tables, T.V’s showing sporting events or YouTube music videos. You could even do some people watching as you relax and have a beer. Almost all the girly bars in Angeles are indoors, with no views to the outside.

Massage Parlors

Pattaya is a very good place for the massage experience — for all types of services. From the best soapy massage parlors, to the smaller massage shops scattered almost all over the city. The place is almost endless with these types of services.

Angeles does not have the fishbowl type soapy massage parlors, and it has very few of the happy ending style ones as well.

The massage shops are not on par with Pattaya’s — in terms of quality and quantity of girls. But it does have a few options for regular massages, and extras, but nothing like you would see in Pattaya.

Daytime Activities

As mentioned before, Angeles city seems to be specifically catered for single male tourist who want to enjoy the P4P scene. The city does not have much else to do during the day other than Shopping at SM Mall, hanging out at your hotel pool, or just exploring some local parks and businesses.

It simply does not have the same type of tourist appeal as Pattaya does.

However, it must be said now, Angeles does feel a bit more “private”. Almost all the tourists there will single gentlemen just looking for the perfect men’s holiday — in privacy. Most of the local folks there will know exactly what you are in town for, so everyone is familiar with that type of niche tourist. For most guys that can be a comforting thing.

Pattaya has many other activities other than the nightlife and bar scene. Here are some daytime activities there:

• Beaches and Islands
• Shopping & Food Markets

Pattaya is just more “touristy”. You can decide for yourself if that is something you prefer, or if you don’t care for those things.

Hotels

Pattaya has so many guest friendly hotels around (source), it is really great in this regard. And the great thing is that the prices are really good, especially if you find a good deal — either online or during the low season. You can always find mid-quality hotels for great prices there. Also, it is not hard finding a hotel in Pattaya that has a decent outdoor pool and fitness facilities.

Angeles city has many guest friendly hotels, and you will eventually find ones with decent value for what you pay. However, that city does not have the same amount of options and standards as Pattaya. Remember, Pattaya is has been built more suitable for international tourism standards.

Angeles City does have its fair share of very high quality hotels like the amazing ABC hotel, and a handful of others. And these luxury hotels will be much cheaper than what you would pay back home for a similar room and facilities.

But here’s the things, even those types of hotels are too expensive for what most guys are willing to pay in a city of that standards. The bottom line is that there isn’t much value to be found in the hotels in Angeles. Yes, there can be some decent deals around, but just expect to be paying more for the hotels that have facilities such as outdoor swimming pools or rooms with nice views to the outside.

Safety

In my opinion, Angeles City feels less safe than Pattaya, especially once you venture out of the tourist areas at night.

Street crime can be very common in the Philippines (source). But to be fair, the president of the Philippines has done a good job of fighting the gang related street crime and drug activity.

The Philippines is now much safer than it used to be, especially in the tourist areas.

But I must be honest and say that there is more poverty in Angeles City, and you will see many street kids and even encounter some pick-pockets as you roam the streets. There are times in Angeles City where you may not feel fully safe, especially if you are traveling alone.

Generally speaking, the Philippines is not one of those types of places where you can just let your guard down, and not be aware of your surroundings. To feel safe, you need to be more cautious of your actions, and also of your surroundings. As long as you be smart about it, and not start trouble, you will feel safe.

But let me be clear, Pattaya is not fully safe either. It’s just that there is less street crime in Pattaya, and less overt poverty as compared to Angeles. However, Pattaya does feel safer than Angeles. I have never felt direct danger in Thailand, even if walking alone late at night outside the tourist areas.

But keep in mind that the entire tourist area of Angeles City was original designed for foreigners, so the police do their best to keep the place safe. So don’t be worried too much about it, the tourist area of the city is considered safe. But I wanted to give you guys a clear understanding of the place so you can be safe when you travel there.

Food

Finally, lets talk about food options in both cities.

If you like Thai Food, you will love Pattaya. The place has so many food choices, its amazing. From Thai Food, to seafood, to European and American Pub food. The place has it all. It also has many of the famous restaurant chains like Subway, McDonalds, Burger King, Starbucks. The list goes on and on.

The great thing is that food can be cheap in Pattaya. Some of those street food vendors offer some tasty meals for great prices. And if you want higher quality restaurants and fine dining it also has that too.

Angeles City has plenty of food options. It has well-known international fast food chains, and also some Australian, English and American Pub food.

And lets not forget about Jollibee, the famous Filipino fast food restaurant, serving fried chicken, pasta, and some more tasty items. You will never go hungry in Angeles.

But, Angeles does not have as much choices as Pattaya does. In other words, Pattaya wins in the food department, and in my personal opinion, has more healthy food choices

The go go bars in Angeles city are probably the main reason why so many guys visit this city year after year.

Not only do these bars have some of the most attractive Filipinas working in them, but there so many of these types of establishments. You could easily spend days on Walking Street trying to figure out where to go.

In this guide I will give you a brief intro to the go go bar scene in Angeles, and also let you know about the best bars that you should visit. This guide will give you a head start, so you get an idea of the highly recommended ones. I will also write about the prices for drinks, bar fines, and girls. And as usual, you will also read my personal tips and insights within the article — so you get the best experience possible as a foreigner in Angeles.

Introduction

If your in Angeles City for the nightlife, then it won’t take you long before you step out into Walking Street nightlife area and be dazzled by the amount of go go bars on the strip. And most of them will have some door girls trying to lure you into the venue.

The great thing is that the girls will usually make you feel you welcome, even before you enter the bar. They will yell out as you walk by, asking you to come take a peek inside, or to get a beer. Generally speaking, the best thing to do is always take a quick look inside, and decide whether or not you find the girls attractive.

It is a great sign if the girls are smiling, enthusiastic, and making an effort to create a friendly environment for the guys in the bar. Also, keep an eye out for the waitresses in the Angeles City bars. They can also be had for take out.

If you want to stay at the go go bar then just sit down. A waitress will quickly come to take your drink order.

At this stage you just want to relax, take in the sites and sounds. By now a few girls will be smiling at you, or showing some signs if interest. If you happen to like one of them just signal for her to come and sit with you, or ask the waitress to call her over. They come in hopes of you buying them a Lady Drink. The Lady Drinks cost more then normal drinks, and they are somewhat like a tip to the bar girl — they make commission of them.

Keep in mind that you don’t need to buy the go go bar girls lady drinks . Only do so if you wish to get to know them better, especially if you plan to bar fine one and take her out the bar.

The truth is that although freelancers in Angeles City give the best value, sometimes we all want to experience the premium go go bars, which usually includes girls that typically much hotter than your average freelancer.

Location of the Go Go Bars in Angeles

Walking Street is where you will find most of the well-known bars, especially the bigger establishments. Some of the bars here will have around 100 to 150 dancers on any given night.

The Walking Street bars are also generally a bit pricier than the other bars. The reason is because this area is a popular tourist area and the business hike up the prices. But keep in mind that this is also the place with the hotter go go bar girls. So you kind of get what you pay for.

There are also a handful of bars scattered around the back alleys near Walking Street. Generally, these bars in the backstreets are smaller in size, and usually have less girls working in them.

There are also some bars located outside of Walking Street on Fields Avenue. And even further down on Fields (about 300-400 meters) is also what is known as “Permiter“. You will find some more girly bars as you walk down on your left hand side, and quite a few popular girl friendly hotels.

But in this guide I will focus on the Walking Street bars since that is where the best ones are, with the most attractive dancers. Just keep in mind that you could explore Fields Avenue and potentially find some hidden gems in the bars there.

Club XS

This club is consistently good, with plenty of cute dancers every night. It is located right in the center of Walking Street, across the famous Kokomo’s bar. A good idea is to grab a nice cold beer or two from there first, then head on into Club XS.

The place itself is quite large, with 2 floors. On the 1st floor there is one main stage with girls perfoming. And most of the girls here are attractive, even some of the waitresses are tempting to take out. On the upper floor there is comfortable seating, with a nice view of the action below. Smoking is also allowed upstairs.

Viking Bar

Located close to Club XS above, right around the middle of Walking Street. You will quickly recognize the place by the big neon sign, and also by the Viking/Pirate Ship designs in the front.

The place has quite a few attractive bar girls working on any given night. And thanks to the small size of the place, it can get quite busy. It seems like one of those bars that never feels boring or empty.

The staff and waitresses are also attentive and friendly, making sure the customers are taken care of, and also doing a good job bringing the girls to the customers. Which is something the Asian clientele seem to appreciate the most.

Club Atlantis

One of the oldest and most reputed go go bars in Angeles city. The experience here is consistent, with many dancers working every night. The dance shows are also entertaining, so you really get your moneys worth (even if you just sit and have some beers).

The place is huge, like a mini stadium. There are 2 floors and each floor has its own stage. If you catch a good seat you get a great view of the entire place. Another great thing about this place is the staff. They are attentive and friendly, which makes the experience worth while.

Dollhouse

One of the most popular go go bars of all time in Angeles City. Dollhouse has a huge quantity of dancers each and every night, ready to entertain the bar patrons.

You can’t miss this place. The building itself is quite large, the exterior has 3 majestic female figurines, with an intriguing designs and lighting.

On the inside there is a large main stage, with plenty of attractive dancers trying to entertain you with some cool pole dancing techniques.

On the second floor there is another lounge area and with a few pool tables to keep you occupied. Not a bad idea to play a couple games with a girl while getting to know her better.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace is located on a quieter side of Angeles called Real St. That area does not get loud or crowded, so if you prefer a more private experience this bar might be a good choice for you. It is surely one of the bars that should be checked out whenever you are in town.

The owners are the same people from Dollhouse, so you can expect some good standards here. You can even access the Dollhouse from here through the back of the bar.

The place itself is not that flashy or busy as some of the other bars listed here, but that is exactly why it can be a great experience. It has a more relaxed vibe. But don’t worry, from Thursdays to Saturdays there are many go go dancers working to keep you entertained.

Angeles City in the Philippines is yet another great place for single guys to travel to around South East Asia.

Yes, this city has some of the best nightlife options around like go go bars and girlie bars, but the prices for these types of things are also some of the most affordable in all the world.

Your money will go far here.

Unlike Manila which can get very pricey — especially around Makati — Angeles is a better option for guys that want more Value.

Angeles City used to be less known to the average male tourist. Only the experienced travelers or expats used to know about this place. However, times have changed. Thanks to the Internet and message boards, this place is no secret anymore. Many single male foreigners who travel around Asia will have visited the place at least one time during their adventures.

The Pros and Cons of Angeles City

Pros

• Lots of Girls and Freelancers Around AC
• Prices are cheaper than Manila, and most other places around Asia
• Many good go go bars
• Most girls are younger, typically between 20-25
• Can still get GFE (girlfriend experience)
• Online scene is pretty good

Cons

• Can be harder to find stunners in the bars (most girls are in the 6-7 category in looks)
• The area is quite small, you are mostly in the same location.
• Not much to do during the days
• Not a great choice of hotels, and generally more expensive for the better quality ones (unlike Thailand which has many good hotels for cheap prices).

How Is Angeles City in 2019?

In my opinion it is still a great place to go. Yes there have been price inflations, but This city still has value to be found, especially if you find some girls online from the dating sites.

The girlie bars further down from Fields also offer excellent value. Just be aware that the quality of girls will not always be that great. It can be hit or miss. And generally speaking, even the quality inside the Walking Street go go bars will not be in par with the bars on Burgos St (Makati/Manila).

Its the value which still draws many of the single male visitors to this city — even in 2019.

Some guys skip Manila all-together and just head to Angeles City because of the value, and also because the of the “dedicated” P4P scene.

It should also be mentioned that Angeles City is more laid back than manila, and the whole scene is not hectic. Some guys don’t bother with Manila simply because of the prices and the horrible traffic. And Manila is also the type of place that you have to watch your back most of the time, it can be a bit dangerous in certain parts of the city at night if you are alone.

But of course Manila is a great city in and of itself, and I travel there myself. But I wanted to give you a guys a brief perspective to Angeles City and the good and bad points of the place.

Introduction to Angeles City

located about 80 kilometers from Manila, Angeles City is the perfect quick getaway from the hectic pace of the capital city in the Philippines.

Most guys who travel to Southeast Asia eventually end up making the trip to Angeles at some point or another. And if you still haven’t yet, I recommend that you do. The place is frequently compared to other similar destinations in Asia.

Generally speaking, the city is safe, and tourist areas of Angeles city have its fair share of police looking out for problems with foreigners.

Most of the places will either be “girly bars” or “normal bars”. The regular bars will be places which will have freelancers who are not employed by the establishment.

Nightlife Areas

Most of the popular things to see around the city are in the following areas.

Walking Street

Consider this place the “main event”. Walking Street is dedicated entertainment zone, filled with bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and a few massage shops. There are also some popular girl friendly hotels in this area.

It is very convenient here. The entire street is only a few hundred meters in length, but is a big thrill. Especially at night when all the venues open up and most of the girls are working.

Fields Avenue

This is the street where leads to the walking street above. It is like a secondary nightlife location in Angeles. There are also go go bars, massage shops and few nightclubs here. The entire street is longer than Walking Street, and the bars and shops are spread out. It is great for exploring and checking out which establishments you prefer.

Once you get further away from walking street the area is known as “Perimeter”. Here you will find some more girlie bars, and more entertainment, especially in the afternoons.

Just remember, the further you go from Walking Street, the earlier the places tend to shut down, typically around 9 PM. But don’t let that stop you, “Perimiter” is well worth visiting, especially since the prices are less expensive than Walking Street.

Other Side Streets & Alleys

Around Walking Street and Fields there are a few streets worth checking out.

In these areas you will have a more relaxed experience, and the crowd is typically more expats or experiences travelers. That is because most new visitors to Angeles City don’t bother exploring these smaller streets and alleys — or they simply never new there was entertainment in these smaller streets.

Here are a few streets worth exploring:

• Santos St.
• Real St.
• Raymond St.

Go Go Bars in Angeles City

One of the main features of this city is are the popular go go bars it has, especially on Walking Street. It’s also one the main selling points about the place. You get great entertainment for a decent price. In this context, Angeles City has one of the best go go bar scenes in all of Philippines and the rest of South East Asia.

And the great thing is that most of the Filipina girls that work in these bars are young and attractive, and usually up for a great time.

They’re job is to make tourists feel welcome, and to also keep you company, as long as you buy them “Lady Drinks”. These are slightly more expensive than standard drinks, and the girls get commission from them. It can be considered something like a tip or incentive to them.

You can simply walk into the go go bar and take a quick look and decide if you want to stay or not. If you are planning to stay then you will be required to order a drink. From there you can relax and watch the dance shows, or you could also ask the waitress to help you choose a girl to spend time with you.

But this also has a bit more risk, since you really don’t know who she is and what her intentions are.

Generally speaking, the clubs are still one of the most fun nightlife activities in Angeles City. Here are the best venues to check out.

The online scene is also a great way to get involved, and start talking to and meeting some local girls.

High Society

This place is extremely popular, and also one of the best clubs in the Philippines to meet young attractive freelancer girls. Starting from around midnight the place starts getting busy, especially on weekends. The DJ plays top Pop, EDM, and Hip Hop mixes, getting the crowd into it. The place has a great deal on beers at P100, which is probably the lowest you will find in any nightclubs here.

Hammer Nightclub

One of the new venues in Angeles City, and it is quickly becoming the place to party in this town.

The place attracts many girls who come here looking to meet some nice foreigners, especially the Korean and Asian men. So you can expect many nice attractive Filipiinas here. Of course other western foreigners will also do fine here.

Hammer nightclub has more tables and seats here as compared to High Society above, and the prices for drinks and snacks is more expensive too. But to be fair, the vibe and design of the club is also more “sophisticated” than High Society, so the price may be justified.

Skytrax

A well-known club among Asian men, mostly Koreans and Japanese. But you will still find foreigners of other nationalities here. Most of the girls in this place are looking to meet Asians though, since that is what the club seems to cater too. In any case, it is still worth checking out if you have time.

Club Mix

Located on walking street, Club Mix is a KTV style nightclub that has live music. The customer base is similar to Skytrax, mostly catering to Asian clients like Korean and Japanese men. As Skytrax, everyone is welcome here though.
