There are so many beer bars in Pattaya that it may be almost overwhelming at first. I still remember my first time just being in awe at the quantity of bars were around.
It was almost hard to choose which ones to check out first.
In this guide I will make it easy and tell you exactly what they are and what to expect in the general vibe of the different areas.
One of the major components of the Pattaya’s naughty scenes revolves around the beer bars.
The great thing is that there are more than a couple locations, so if you don’t find one that you like there’s sure to be a bar that you enjoy relaxing in, and having a nice cold beer.
And due to the variety of managers, each bar has its own style, music, and girls around.
What Are Beer Bars in Pattaya?
They are the bars in Pattaya that have Thai girl waitresses in them waiting to serve you, play pool with you, and make the male customers feel welcome and happy. You might have heard that they are also called beer bars or girly bars.
And they are very well known, especially to the expat community. And most of them you will find in and around Pattaya’s best nightlife areas.
The reason is that they offer a more relaxed experience compared to the go go bars which are more expensive, and pushy for drinks.
The core concept is that the girls make money off the lady drinks that customers buy them. These are like “tips” that she receives, and part of her salary.
In return she will keep you company, play pool/games with you, and generally make sure you are happy.
Of course the girls can be sexy and be tempting for you to take out of the bar.
Best Beer Bar Areas in Pattaya
Up first is the infamous Soi 6.
If you don’t know what this alley is, don’t worry. After your first visit you will know exactly what it is famous for!
The main thing to know is that there are cute Thai girls working at the bars waiting to serve you drinks, and you have the option to bar fine them on location.
So these girly bars are also referred to as short time bars.
Most of the bars on Soi 6 are open by around 1 PM, but they get fully staffed as the day progresses.
Around 6 PM is when most of the waitresses are working. And the party goes well into the evening.
This area is so popular that some people visit Pattaya purely to spend most of their time there. It is the city’s premier naughty scene, and is gaining popularity as one of the best values in the city.
The prices are cheaper than Walking Street, and the average age of the girls is younger than other beer bars.
This alley connects Beach Road to 2nd Road and has some of the best beer bars in Pattaya.
Once the evening comes around (6PM) is when the parties begin. You will see bars on both sides of the street, some of the open air.
The girls will be looking to the grab the attention of the people walking by, hoping to attract some customers.
Soi 8 is very similar to Soi 7, it also has a huge cluster of bars that cater to the single male foreigners that walk these areas year after year.
It also has a couple live band bars that are worth visiting and having a beer in.
The great thing is that these two alleys are right next to each other. Check out both locations in the evening and see which bars grab your attention.
Just keep in mind that in the early afternoons it is not busy, but there are a few bars that have waitresses and you could sit down, escape from the sun and have a cold drink in.
Both Soi 7 and Soi 8 have some very popular guest friendly hotels.
Soi Buakhao has a cluster of beer bars, specifically around the Soi LK Metro area.
This area situated further away from the beach (around 15 minute walk), and is more laid back from the bustling scenes of Walking Street.
Expect beer prices to be some of the cheapest in the city, and the value is pretty good for what you get in return: some fun times with the bar girls that are trying to entice you to take them out of the bar.
It makes a great and refreshing change from the in your face style of Walking Street, or the loud streets of Soi 7 and Soi 8. Give it a try and see how you life.
Some of the expats swear that the girly bars in this area are the best value in all of Pattaya.
Walking Street may be famous for bustling gogo bar scene, but there two noteworthy beer bar complexes that are great to know. They are:
Both places have a decent amount of Thai girls working in them, ready to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
Keep in mind that these are complexes, so you will find quite a few mini bars within them, and each has its own waitresses, pole dancers, and bar girls.
The Pattaya Beer garden also has a great restaurant with good drink specials, and amazing Thai and Western food.
This northern district is a bit further away from all the other beer bar areas I mentiond here.
Many guys probably did not even know that there are a couple beer bar complexes in Naklua.
The great thing about this place is that it is much more relaxing than South Pattaya. So much so that some guys even stay in this area, and come down to South Pattaya to party when they feel like it.
Most of the tourists here are from Europe, and you will notice that many of the business here are owned by them. It can be very relaxing to have a few drinks here every once in a while.
Bar Fines & Drink Prices
Most like you will end up chatting with a bar girl, and having a few drinks with her. Here is a breakdown of the prices:
- Drinks: 90Baht -120 Baht for bottled beer
- Bar Fine: 500 Baht
The happy hour times in Pattaya usually start from 6PM – 8PM, and drink prices will start from around 60 Baht- 80 Baht. But keep in mind that these times there won’t be as many girls working.
However, it is still a great time to start your night, and depending in the bar, there can be more than enough waitresses to keep you company.
