Most of these changes have to do with new government “policies”, which resulted in many bars and clubs closing down, and in return, some other venues opened up that were targeting more than just single male foreigners. So of course, this has some good and bad things about it.

The good is that there are a wide variety of things to experience, and also a more diverse crowd, which also includes many young people who come here to party and have a great time. Naturally this also created better security and safety, since the local authorities would like to achieve a safe nightlife experience for the tourists.

One drawback is that being a foreigner is not a novelty like it was in years gone by, another is that the prices have also seen an increase, especially when it comes to the better nightclubs and buying alcoholic beverages.

Going out to the best clubs in Jakarta can get quite expensive, especially if you also plan to pay for freelancers, massages, and other such things. Generally speaking, the entrance fee to some of the clubs in Jakarta is some of highest I have seen in Southeast Asia.

North Jakarta

The north of the city is where you can experience the unique and authentic nightlife experience in Jakarta. It is much less trendy than the southern part of the city, and has more of the original nightclubs, bars, massages, and men’s spas that Jakarta has been so famous for.

South Jakarta

If you want a more trendy experience, with the most modern nightclubs, bars, restaurants, and hotels in jakarta, then the South of the city offers that type of experience. Just also keep in mind that South Jakarta is also where the prices are much higher, especially in the more upscale places. But of course, you generally get what you pay for, which for the most part includes better service, standards, and upscale freelancers.

Jalan Jaksa

Possibly the best value can be had in this area. If you want to party without breaking the bank, then consider this area. Mega Kunigan

An overall excellent place to check, it has a wide variety of bars and clubs, and most of the establishments are close to each other. You can easily check them out and see which ones you like. Another great thing about this place is that it is very popular among the young locals, which also includes the nice Indonesia girls who frquent this area, and are interested to meet and party with foreigners. Some popular places here are Flow, Basque, Jack Sparrows.

SCBD

Offers more of trendy and upscale experience. Most of the popular places like the Fairgrounds Complex is an excellent place to experience the exciting nightlife in this area. You will find many of the younger locals partying here, especially the wealthier ones that consider themselves to be part of the “high society” crowd. A few establishments to consider are Fable Club, Beer Garden, Hard Rock Cafe, and Pallas Lounge.

Senopati

More of a residential area, with plenty of Indonesian Chinese locals who prefer to party here. However, you also find a few foreigners in the venues such as Lola, Monty’s Vibes.

Block M

The famous “red light district”, which was one of the cities original areas for nighty fun, especially when it came to single male foreigners. As mentioned before, much has changed, and the area is not only considered for the title it once had. It does still have some girly bars to check out though, most of which will be around the Jalan Faletehan area. These places cater to the single men who are interested in the bar girls.

Kemang

Even though Manila has some of the frustrating things about it, I still highly recommend the place. In my humble opinion, the good things outweigh the bad things. It is still one of the most fun cities in the region, and is reasonably more affordable when you compare it to other expensive cities like Bangkok, Tokyo, or Hong Kong.

Makati

This is the main financial district of the city. Makati city is mostly famous for its naughty nightlife area of P Burgos Street, which is a neon filled street full of girly bars, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, etc.

P. Burgos Street is where you will find some the best looking Filipina bar girls in all of Philippines. Not only do they come working here because of the higher demand of tourism, but the bars in this area usually only hire the best looking and youngest women.

Makati also has a few great nightclubs:

The best nightclub in Malate is Exklusive. The best time to go is on the weekends. On weekdays it can be hit or miss, and the crowd can be less than inspiring. In any case, if you enjoy clubbing and are in the Malate area then definitely check it out.

The rest of Malate is mostly restaurants and some massage shops worth checking out. Just keep in mind that the main nightlife activities in this area of Manila are the KTV bars as was mentioned above.

Ermita

This part of Manila was once a dedicated red light district, and although the authorities have done a major clean up of the place, the vibe and seediness still exists to this day.

Introduction to Angeles City

located about 80 kilometers from Manila, Angeles City is the perfect quick getaway from the hectic pace of the capital city in the Philippines.

Most guys who travel to Southeast Asia eventually end up making the trip to Angeles at some point or another. And if you still haven’t yet, I recommend that you do. The place is frequently compared to other similar destinations in Asia.

Generally speaking, the city is safe, and tourist areas of Angeles city have its fair share of police looking out for problems with foreigners.

Most of the places will either be “girly bars” or “normal bars”. The regular bars will be places which will have freelancers who are not employed by the establishment.

Most of the popular things to see around the city are in the following areas.

Walking Street

That is because most new visitors to Angeles City don’t bother exploring these smaller streets and alleys — or they simply never new there was entertainment in these smaller streets.

Go Go Bars in Angeles City

One of the main features of this city is are the popular go go bars it has, especially on Walking Street. It’s also one the main selling points about the place. You get great entertainment for a decent price. In this context, Angeles City has one of the best go go bar scenes in all of Philippines and the rest of South East Asia.

And the great thing is that most of the Filipina girls that work in these bars are young and attractive, and usually up for a great time.

They’re job is to make tourists feel welcome, and to also keep you company, as long as you buy them “Lady Drinks”. These are slightly more expensive than standard drinks, and the girls get commission from them. It can be considered something like a tip or incentive to them.

Soapy Massage Parlors

As of now there are just two places that are worth going to in Phuket, and I will list them below.

Just know that there aren’t many soapy massage parlors in Patong like there are in places like Pattaya or Bangkok.

But the good news is that the two places are good enough to keep you satisfied should you want your “soapy massage fix” while you are on holiday in Phuket.

Christin Massage has the best soapy experience for foreigners. Not only are the girls the most attractive, but there is a nice selection of them. A good portion of the girls will be hot and worth trying out.

The process is like other soapies in Thailand.

You just walk in, take a seat or order a drink if you want. You can see the selection of girls in the “fish bowl” and simply tell the mamasan/papasan which girl you would like to get a massage from.

The selection here is not on par with Christin Massage, and the rooms are a bit less quality. It is more like the lower end Soapy Massage shops in Bangkok.

But things are a bit different now, Bangkok can actually be one of the most expensive cities in Asia if you don’t watch your money or if you are not on a budget.

And now many of you probably know about the higher prices and are contemplating whether or not you should visit other countries for your “single man’s” holiday.

Although I do recommend for guys to visit other places nearby, I must be honest and say that the Thailand nightlife is simply better than most places. So most guys would agree that even if you are spending a bit more money here, over-all it is worth it because you are typically getting more value in return.

But here is the truth: Thailand can be still very affordable if you focus on these 3 things:

• Visiting the less-known cities

Or it could be that they billed it as “business expense”. All these types of things were the cause of increased costs at the expense of other tourists.

So here is a guide to the prices you should expect in the Cities:

Go Go Bars

Expect the bar fines prices to be from 600 Baht to 1000 Baht.
For short time it will be around 2000 Baht. Add another 1500 Baht for Long time.
A beer will be around 150 Baht, and a lady drink will be up to 200 Baht

Beer Bars Prices

the Bar fines here will be starting at around 500 baht.
Short time will cost you from 1000 – 1500 Baht. Add another 500-1000 Baht for Long Time.
Bottles Beers from 90-120 Baht, and lady drinks around 120 Baht

Soapy Massage Prices

Generally from 2000-3000 Baht for 1.5 Hours. For the hotter younger girls it will be more, expect around 4000-5000 Baht. The top models will cost even more on that.

Online Prices

One of the most affordable as of late. Can range from 1000 – 1500 Baht Short time. Long time Add 500-1000 Baht. The online method is also a great way to find a holiday Thai girlfriend for a few days or weeks at a time.

Possibly the best club in RCA (Royal City Avenue), which is one of Bangkok’s best nightlife areas.

This place constantly attracts the best local crowds, and also a good portion of foreigners.

Most of the local crowd is sexy, young, and lively.

There is more than one main room, with Hip Hop/EDM in one room, and the Thai music room.

Another thing to note is that you won’t find that many freelancers here, but it is not uncommon to find a handful lurking around in hopes of meeting foreigners. What you will find are some very attractive local Thai women.

• Crowd: Young Thais, some foreigners, freelancers and working girls (10%)
• Prices: 400 Baht for foreigners (Free for locals)

Onyx

Another one of the amazing clubs on RCA.

Could be the best EDM club in all of Bangkok, it also has some amazing events with world-famous DJ’s.

It even was also the only Bangkok nightclub to rank in the top 100 best clubs in the world (DJ Mag).

Once you step inside this 2000 capacity venue you will quickly realize how great the sound system is. There are many tables, which local Thais like to get while ordering there bottle service.

• Crowd: EDM lovers, Thais in the 30’s, Freelancers and working girls (less than 5%)
• Price: Around 400-500 Baht (special events can be more)

The Club Khaosan

A no frills, and “classic” style nighctlub located in the Khaosan district.

So you can expect some younger crowds, especially Thai girls who want to meet foreigner guys.

The vibe is pretty good, and perfect for just grabbing some drinks at the bar, and dancing, mingling on the dance floor.

Do not expect anything fancy or “hi-so” here. It is just a solid fun nightclub in the middle of the famous Khaosan Road.

Insanity

Right in the heart of the Sukhumvit nightlife area (soi 11).

This place is nicely designed, with many tables around in 1 huge room with very high ceilings, The DJ deck taking up center stage.

The music is mostly EDM, House, with some hip hop too. They have some good events (usually on the weekends). The state of the art sound system is one of the highlights of this club, promising to shake every bone in your body.

When think of “big room” clubs, this is the perfect example. The crowd is great for guys as there are many local Thai girls here looking to meet party with foreign men.

Also known as Royal City Avenue, this place offers some serious entertainment.

The nightclubs are well designed, have great sound systems, and serve some of the cities best drinks.

The prices for entrance and drinks are moderate. You won’t find the cheapest drinks here, but they are still more affordable than the expensive rooftop bars.

The great thing about RCA is the crowd that it attracts. Expect higher class Thai people, and it is somewhat more upscale than most venues around Sukhumvit.

Khao San Road

Ratchada Rot Fai Night “Train” Market

You would be surprised, but even some local Thai’s don’t know about this place.

And they should.

It is one of the best areas to spend your evening in. And it gets busy, especially on the weekend. It is located just off the MRT Thailand Cultural Center.

The name train market became to be due to the history behind the location.

It used to be a train station, which was transformed into what it is today: a night market which has many food vendors showcasing there amazing food creations.

It is a huge night market, full of food vendors, shops, and bars. The food here is amazing, and has so much variety. It is also very reasonably prices.

The bars serve amazing cocktails, beers, and more.

The local Thais love to enjoy the Bangkok nightlife. They come here after work, or on the weekend with their friends. They order drinks, listen to music, and enjoy the fun nightlife scenes.

As the sun sets on Pattaya, Walking Street begins to come alive.

At 6 PM the street opens for pedestrians only, and the night time activities begin.

Soi Buakhao

Soi Buakhoa is a long street that connects from Central Pattaya road to South Pattaya Road.

Entertainment options can be found almost all along the streets, but the majority of the Soi Buakhoa nightlife is in and around Soi Diana and the the other nearby alleys. This part of the city also has some of the best value hotels.

Basically the central part of Soi Buakhoa. That area is also where you will see Soi LK Metro, which is yet another well-known place to party in Pattaya.

Soi LK Metro

You will find many beer bars and go go bar here to keep you busy.

Generally speaking, the prices here are a bit cheaper than Walking Street, except for the go go bars, which are around the same.

But it wasn’t always that popular, it was mostly frequented by experienced travelers or expats who knew the city well. Anyway, the best of central Pattaya nightlife is here.

The vibe is cool.

Yes it can get loud too, but it doesn’t feel as congested as Walking Street. And the atmosphere is a bit more laid back which some people prefer.

There are also many food stalls around so you can grab a quick snack on the go to one of the bars. There are also some nice outdoor beer bar complexes nearby.

Soi 6

Pattaya’s naughty reputation is party caused by the famous Soi 6 alley.

It is not uncommon to walk on Soi 6 and not have your adrenaline pumping from the excitement.

Why?

because the whole street is filled with cute Thai bar girls that want to have a naughty fun time with you.

The vibe here is also great in the daytime. There are even bars that open up at 1 PM, but the place gets more lively as the day unfolds.

Another great thing about Soi 6 is the location.

While it is far from Walking Street, it can give a fresh change from that hectic scene.

It can be great to relax, have a few drinks, and check out the scene. If you like one of the ladies, just buy her a lady drink and take it from there.

Soi 6 is located just off Beach road, and the alley connects to Pattaya Second Road.

Just next to it is Soi 6/1 which is a adjacent alley. Some of the bars rear entrances are from Soi 6/1 and you will notice some of the Ladyboys employed by the bars hang out in the back waiting for potential customers that may walk into their path.

The Thai girls here are usually more fun and lively, and this could also be because they seem to be younger than your typical beer bar girls

A great thing about Soi 6 is that it is also near a few of the best body to body massage parlors in Pattaya, so you can check those out whenever you are in the north part of the city.

Soi 7

Soi 7 is arguably one the best beer bar areas in Pattaya.

As the night comes, the bars get busier and more Thai bar girls begin to entice men to come into their bars for a drink or two.

A great thing is the beer prices here are a bit cheaper than Walking Street, but the entertainment can be just as good.

You’ll find many smaller bars, and a few bigger complexes to keep you entertained.

Soi 8

Right next to Soi 7 is Soi 8. A Similar vibe, with many beer bars, some food stalls, restaurants around.

The hotels and guesthouses here are also popular among the single male international tourists, who stay specifically here due to the convenient location.

Both Soi 7 and Soi 8 start to get busier as the night progresses.

Throughout the day and early afternoon there isn’t much to do here, other than chill out at one of the bars and have a cold beer (trying to escape the blazing hot sun).
